A Little More About Me

Turning ideas into something you can see, feel, and maybe even smile at.

Portrait of Michael Jeffery Sych

Before I was building websites and printing custom parts, I was building plates — spending over two decades in kitchens and eventually managing the line at Sherlock Holmes on Rice Howard Way. Cooking taught me structure, flow, and leadership under pressure — how to stay calm when things heat up and how to make something beautiful out of chaos. It’s where I learned that good work takes patience, rhythm, and pride in the craft.

That mindset carried into everything I do now. Whether I’m designing a layout or fine-tuning a print, I still think like a chef — balancing ingredients, refining the process, and chasing that perfect finish. My time in kitchens taught me to trust instinct as much as precision, and that blend is what drives every creative project I take on.

Photography helps me slow things down. It’s my way to breathe between projects — to notice how light lands on a countertop or how a shadow cuts across a wall. My Canon R7 goes everywhere with me, helping me see the world in frames and tones. It’s less about perfection and more about presence — being there, really seeing things.

When I’m not in my creative space, I’m usually out with my partner and our two dogs, Cooper and Togo. They’re the daily reminder that life isn’t just about what you make — it’s about who you share it with. Walks, late-night movies, road trips, even lazy Sundays — those are the moments that refill the tank so I can keep building, designing, and creating with purpose.

At the end of the day, I’m just someone who loves making things — digital, physical, or photographic — and sharing them with the people (and dogs) that make life feel grounded and good.
